Cpl. Michael G. Michaud, 24, a light armored vehicle mechanic from Presque Isle, Maine, D Company, 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, starts to drain the coolant from an engine from a LAV. The mechanics of the company keep the vehicle dependant battalion operational, so they can continually maintain stability and security in their area of operation, 60-square kilometers on the outskirts of Fallujah.
