Col. Mark J. Desens, commanding officer of Special Marine Air Ground Task Force 26, gives the oath of enlistment to Marines at Ground Zero, the area of the collapse of the World Trade Center after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The Marines are in New York for the commissioning of the amphibious transport dock ship Pre-Commissioning Unit New York.
