Sgt. Rob Gonzales, an engineer with the 176th Engineer Company, practices combatives as part of the unit’s pre-deployment readiness training at the Snohomish National Guard Armory, Oct. 3, 2015. Although this is the first time the 176th Eng. Company has deployed as a unit, they have assisted in numerous overseas training exercises, such as Cobra Gold in Thailand, and supporting state active duty missions during the SR 530 landslide and Washington wildfires.
