Col. Ricardo Martinez, the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma commanding officer, and station sergeant major, Sgt. Maj. Delvin Smythe, present Diane Samrah, the station budget officer, with a certificate of retirement during her retirement ceremony at the station headquarters building in Yuma, Ariz., Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015. The ceremony paid tribute to Samrah’s 40 years of faithful service. “It’s been a lot of work and a lot of fun,” she said. “People may come and go, but the memories will last a lifetime.” Samrah, who began working at MCAS Yuma in 1975, was also awarded a certificate of appreciation and the station colors that were flown the day prior.
