Marines with 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, board a Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) that will transport them to San Clemente Island during the PHIBRON-MEU integration exercise aboard the USS NEW ORLEANS on 24 September 2015. This marks the first at sea exercise for the PHIBRON-MEU Marines and Sailors as they work together in preparation for deployment to the Pacific and Central Command areas of responsibility in early 2016.
