Royce Tibbetts, of Kelseyville, Calif., works regularly in areas previously burned by the Valley Fire in Northern California. He spent part of his late September helping the California Army National Guard's 870th Military Police Company get residents back into their homes by manning traffic intersections. "It was like the perfect storm," Tibbetts said of the Valley Fire that became one of California's Top 10 wildfires of all-time. "What was once the most beautiful place on earth is now all gone."
