SI RACHA, Thailand (Sept. 11) - A local resident of the Child Protection and Development Center (CPDC) here blows bubbles during a recent community outreach event attended by the crew of the USNS Pecos (T-AO 197). The crew of the Pecos visited the CPDC after voluntarily raising enough funds to purchase hygienic items, toys and snacks to give to about 60 kids at CPDC, who range in age from 4 to 17. The CPDC is a local orphanage dedicated to the caring of displaced children, orphans and children rescued from the sex slave industry.
