Retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael S. Linnington, Director of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), receives a tour of an excavation site given by U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Nakischa Adams (right) during a DPAA recovery mission near Riechelsdorf, Germany on Sept. 1, 2015. The newly appointed director had the opportunity to speak with team members and observe the recovery efforts completed by the DPAA team. DPAA is a newly organized Department of Defense agency that’s primary mission is to achieve full accountability of U.S. service members that lost their lives during past conflicts and bring closure to the families of those service members.
