Senior Airman Matthew Kramer, 4th Civil Engineer Squadron heating, ventilation, and air conditioning technician, solders a piece of HVAC equipment, Sept. 2, 2015, at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C. During the last two years, annual maintenance and tune-ups have improved indoor air quality, building HVAC system controls and increased the life of the HVAC system as a whole, which was one of the factors in the squadron being awarded the 2015 Federal Energy & Water Management award.
