Representatives and attendees chat during the Health, Wellness & Fitness Fair at Mokapu Mall aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Sept. 11, 2015. The fair featured representatives from various organizations on and off base, including Tripler Army Medical Center, the Provost Marshal’s Office and the Education Center. This was the last event for the 101 Days of Summer Program, which is hosted each year aboard the base to promote fitness and discourage drug and alcohol abuse. Various events throughout the summer included the races from the Commanding Officer’s Fitness Series. The Marines and Sailors could earn points for their units by participating in the events, and taking classes offered by the Health Promotion Office. The 101 Days of Summer Program is one of the many programs and services offered at MCB Hawaii to provide support for the units, individuals and families in order to enhance and sustain combat readiness for all operating forces and tenant organizations aboard the installation.
