Master Sgt. Mike Minnick, a boom operator at the 155th Air Refueling Wing, stands with Maj. Wade Holen and Lt. Col. Dan Wingard, the pilots of a 155th Air Refueling Wing KC-135R Stratotanker, after his final flight with the Nebraska Air National Guard. Minnick has been in the Air Guard for 40 years.
"It is bitter sweet," said Minnick. "It was a long career and I have really enjoyed my time in the Guard. Guard is family; this is my family."
