First Sergeant Jason Hoyt of Bravo Company, 412th Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne) out of Columbus, Ohio, discusses the importance of why Soldiers wear IBA (Individual Body Armor) when they deploy. Hoyt was hit with paintballs twice near his heart during 412th's tactical civil affairs LANES training at Muscatatuck Urban Traning Center, Ind., in August, 2015. "A set of IBA would have saved my life," said Hoyt. "This is why it is so important to inspect your equipment before you go on any mission. Safety of our Soldiers is my top priority."
