U.S. Marines with Marine Transport Squadron 1 (VMR-1) fly the HH-46E Sea Knight helicopter over Eastern N.C., Aug. 28, 2015. VMR-1 flew aircraft for training to support search and rescue missions. The HH-46E is a medium-lift tandem rotor transport helicopter, and is powered by twin turbine engines. The crew consists of two pilots, one crew chief, and an aerial observer.
