Moroccan Navy Rear Adm. Mostapha El Alami, Chief of Division Naval Intelligence, Security and Defense, (left) reviews the minutes from Moroccan and U. S. Naval Staff talks with Capt. Mike Fierro, Deputy Director of Policy, Resources, and Strategy, (right) at U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa/U. S. Sixth Fleet headquarters on Naval Support Activity, Capodichino. The talks reviewed plans and commitments made by both Navies for the next year. The Moroccan Navy has become a growing and important partner with the U.S. Navy in Europe and Africa and has been a major participant in the U.S. Navy lead annual multi-country exercise Phoenix Express, as well as a recent joint maritime law enforcement operation held July 2009.
