A U.S. Army Color Guard presents the colors prior to casing of the Armed Forces Medical Examiner colors Aug. 31, 2015, at the Base Theater on Dover Air Force Base, Del. Over the years, AFMES transitioned from the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology to the U.S. Army Medical Research and Material Command in the fall of 2011 with its move to Dover AFB and AFMES was formally transferred from MRMC to the Defense Health Agency in the flag-casing ceremony.
