Lieutenant Colonel Lord Veehala with His Majesty’s Armed Forces takes his post to address U.S. Marines with Company B, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin, during a ‘Welcome to Tonga’ ceremony to start Exercise Tafakula 2015 Aug. 27 at Talai Military Camp, Tongatapu Island, Tonga. Troops from other government services attending the ceremony included His Majesty’s Armed Forces, the New Zealand Defence Force, the French Army of New Caledonia and the Tongan Royal Guard. Defense ties between the United States and our allies and partner nations are critical to regional security and cooperation. Veehala is a joint operations commander with HMAF.
