FORT MEADE, Maryland (August 26, 2015) Lt. Cmdr. John J. Terry receives the Purple Heart medal from Vice Adm. Jan E. Tighe, commander, U.S. Fleet Cyber Command/ U.S. 10th Fleet, during a ceremony held Aug. 26, 2015, in the Nation Cryptology Museum at Fort Meade, Maryland. Terry received the medal for injuries sustained during his deployment to Afghanistan in June 2011 while assigned to Naval Special Warfare Support Activity 2, now called Special Reconnaissance Team 2.
