As part of a competition, Sgt. James D. Kimball, explosive ordnance disposal specialist from Fort Riley, Kan., goes through a scenario-driven test of his knowledge of first aid and shock prevention. Kimball, assigned to 84th Ordnance Battalion, was part of a group of Soldiers and non-commissioned officers chosen to participate in the division-level Soldier and Non-commissioned Officer of the Quarter competition held by 34th Infantry Division and hosted by 121st Brigade Support Battalion "Iron Hammers" at Contingency Operating Base Adder, Iraq. Kimball was named NCO of the Quarter, Oct. 7.
