Lt. j.g. Michael Rucker, a native of Shelbyville, Ky., administers the annual flu vaccine shot to Petty Officer 2nd Class Ebony Franklin, from Durham, N.C., on Camp Lemonier, Oct. 16. The Expeditionary Medical Facility has established a designated influenza team to educate camp personnel about the effects of the influenza virus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention suggest the best way to prevent seasonal flu is to receive a vaccination each fall and practice good health habits.
