A Nepalese Army female soldier participates in peacekeeping training at a simulated UN designated site as part of Exercise Keris Aman 2015, at Segenting Camp, Aug. 15, 2015, in Port Dickson, Malaysia. According to the UN Peacekeeping official website, as peacekeeping has evolved to encompass a broader humanitarian approach, women have become increasingly part of the peacekeeping mission adding many capabilities including the ability to interact with women in societies where women are prohibited from speaking to men. Keris Aman is the largest multinational peacekeeping training event this year and is co-hosted by the Malaysian Armed Forces and U.S. Pacific Command with representatives from 29 nations participating.
