George Balancio, an aircraft attendant with Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay, reveals dirt, gravel and other debris collected that could cause foreign object damage to aircraft, Aug. 18, 2015. Balancio, a Kailua, Hawaii resident, and other air station personnel daily sweep the area using the FOD Boss, an airport sweeper attachment. Civilian and military personnel with MCAS K-Bay share the mission of all of Marine Corps Base Hawaii: to provide facilities, programs and services in direct support of units, individuals and families in order to enhance and sustain combat readiness for all operating forces and tenant organizations aboard the installation.
