    Col. Curtis Carney, incoming commander of the 151st Theater Information Operations Group, accepts the colors from Brig. Gen. Christopher Stockel, the deputy commanding general for U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne), during a change of command ceremony held Aug. 15 in Queens, N.Y. Carney took over the 151st TIOG from Col. Molly McGlaughlin. With more than 300 Soldiers, the 151st TIOG was active Oct. 4, 2009 at Fort Totten, N.Y. The group has two information operations battalions and is one of only four units of its type in the nation. The IO mission is to synchronize related capabilities comprised of electronic warfare, psychological operations, operations security, and network operations with the overarching objective of gaining, maintaining and controlling the information environment on the battlefield.
