ARABIAN GULF (Aug. 12, 2015) U.S. Marine Cpl. Zachary Olson grabs a new magazine to reload his weapon during a short-range marksmanship qualification course aboard the dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47). Olson is a team leader with Kilo Company, Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. The marksmanship course focused on improving the Marines’ ability to work in pairs during combat shooting rehearsals, which prepares them for potential operations while deployed with the 15th MEU. The 15th MEU is embarked on the Essex Amphibious Ready Group and deployed to maintain regional security in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
