Jones, a landing support specialist with 4th Landing Support Battalion, 4th Marine Logistics Group, 22, from Sacramento, scoops sand underneath a Light-Duty Landing Mat, or MOBI-MAT, to prevent buckling and tearing at the Pacific Horizon exercise at Red Beach at Camp Pendleton, Calif., Oct. 14. The Mobi-Mats give vehicles traction when driving over sandy or muddy terrain. The mats also prevent delay and play a big part in the overall mission.
