Teens involved in the North Carolina National Guard Teen Retreat program pay attention to a resiliency block of instruction at the Fort Fisher Training Center, Kure Beach N.C. The North Carolina National Guard sponsors numerous activities that involve youth development to include a week-long NCNG Teen Retreat where teens from the age of 11 to 18 develop their intrapersonal communication skills, decision making skills, and understanding choices to better prepare them for issues adolescents with parents in the military face every day.
