ARABIAN GULF (July 18, 2015) Navy Diver 1st Class Brian Simic, of Englewood, Fla., assigned to Mobile Diving Salvage Unit One (MDSU 1), Company (CO) 1-3, prepares for a salvage diving operation aboard USNS Catawba (T-ATF 168) to recover an F/A-18 Super Hornet lost at sea. MDSU1, CO 1-3 is currently deployed to Commander, Task Group 56.1 to conduct expeditionary, mobile salvage diving and force protection operations throughout the 5th Fleet area of operations.
