Staff Sgt. Michael Palmer, 55th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, inspects a RC-135V/W Rivet Joint for damage after it returned from a mission, Oct. 7, in Southwest Asia. Palmer helped mark, Oct. 7, as the 7,000th consecutive day the Rivet Joint has provided commanders in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility near real-time on-scene intelligence collection, analysis and dissemination. Palmer is deployed from Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
