A small group of Kansas National Guardsmen assist and advise Soldiers with the Armenian Peacekeeping Brigade at the Zar Mountain Training Center, near Yerevan, Armenia, July 27 - Aug. 7, 2015, in preparation of a major NATO evaluation in September 2015. The combat readiness evaluation will be a culmination of a years-long process that would certify the interoperability of the Armenian PKB in support of NATO peacekeeping operations. Kansas and Armenia have been partnered in the National Guard Bureau's State Partnership Program since 2003. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Sgt. Zach Sheely/Released)
