The multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Wasp sits moored to the pier during its recent port visit to Naval Station Guantanamo Bay. Wasp is currently deployed on Southern Partnership Station-Amphib with DESRON 40 and a Security Cooperation Marine Air Ground Task Force embarked. Southern Partnership Station is part of the Partnership of Americas Maritime Strategy that focuses on building interoperability and cooperation in the region to meet common challenges.
