Hopkins, College of Distance Education and Training Okinawa regional director, briefs staff noncommissioned officers (SNCO) of Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, and Marine Aircraft Group 12 on the Career Course Seminar (CCS) Distance Education Program (DEP), and officers on the Blended Seminar Program at the Sakura Theater aboard station, Aug. 5, 2015. CCS offers staff sergeants the opportunity to attend either the resident career course at one of the four SNCO academies or in the CCS DEP where they will interact with a professional instructor and a collection of their peers in an academic environment.
