A Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) F-15J/DJ Eagle lifts off from the Eielson Air Force Base Alaska, flightline Aug. 10, 2015, as part of the first simulated combat sortie of Red Flag-Alaska, 15-3. The JASDF is participating in this Pacific Air Forces commander-directed field training exercise for U.S. and partner nation forces, providing combined offensive counter-air, interdiction, close air support, and large force employment training in a simulated combat environment.
