Fort Drum and 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) Commanding General Maj. Gen. Jeffrey Bannister addresses attendees Aug. 6, 2015, during the Whiteface Memorial Ceremony at the Whiteface Ski Center in Lake Placid, N.Y. The 10th Mountain Division Soldiers, past and present have attended the event annually. Bannister said he was proud to share the legacy of the 10th Mountain Division with the division’s World War II veterans, and that the division will continue that legacy during deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, later this year.
