Harry Marsh (second from right), commanding officer of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Stethem (DDG 63), meets with People’s Liberation Army Navy Cmdr. Cai Qing, commanding officer of People’s Liberation Army Navy guided-missile frigate Yantai (FFG 538), during a ship tour following the arrival of Stethem to Qingdao for a port visit. The purpose of the port call in Qingdao is to continue to build key diplomatic and military relationships and to illustrate the U.S. Navy’s commitment to broadening ties in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. During Stethem’s visit, the crew will engage in sports activities and will host tours of the ship for the local residents and military members.
