    U.S. Marines act as the anchor while Philippine Marines fast rope from an MV-22B Osprey assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 262 during Air Assault Support Exercise 2015-2 on Basa Air Base in Pampanga, Philippines, July 19, 2015. By establishing an anchor point, the U.S. Marines hold the rope in place to help control the path of descent ensuring the service members can safely land. AASE is a bilateral training exercise between Philippine forces and U.S. Marines designed to strengthen partnership between the two nations. The U.S. Marines are with Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Division attached to III Marine Expeditionary Force through the Unit Deployment Program.
