ARTA BEACH, Djibouti (July 22, 2015) U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Brandon Kalz fires an M203 grenade launcher during a grenade accuracy exercise. Kalz is a team leader with Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. Elements of the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit are ashore in Djibouti for sustainment training to maintain and enhance the skills they developed during their pre-deployment training period. The 15th MEU is currently deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of operation.
