PROVINCE OF CAPIZ, Philippines (July 28, 2015) Royal New Zealand Air Force Wing Cmdr. Jennifer Atkinson, (left), the Pacific Partnership 2015 chief of staff, Navy Lt. Cmdr. Ray Owens (middle), from San Antonio, and Philippine Army Lt. Col. Joel Diamante, the commanding officer of Camp Peralta Station Hospital, have a conversation at Camp Peralta during a women's forum event as part of PP15. Philippine Army leaders from the 3rd Infantry Division hosted the event in support of the National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security. The hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) is currently in the Philippines for its third mission port of PP15. Pacific Partnership is in its 10th iteration and is the largest annual multilateral humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. While training for crisis conditions, Pacific Partnership missions to date have provided real world medical care to approximately 270,000 patients and veterinary services to more than 38,000 animals.
