Leopoldo Tabingo left, 86, a member of the Palawan Special Battalion, a guerilla unit which operated on Palawan thoughout the war. Vincente Tan, center, lent care and comfort to downed American pilot and escapees from the Jaapanese POW camp. Buddy Mendoza, right, is the son of the leader of the Palwan resistance who was captured and executed during the war. Mendoza is the owner of the MAC jeep and is an avid World War II memorobilia collector. All are supporters of the memorial park rehabilitation efffort to honor the lost POWs and the men of the 186th RCT which liberated Palawan.
