NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (July 15, 2015) -- Machinist's Mate 3rd Class Paul Smith, assigned to Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72), refurbishes one of Lincoln's watertight doors with the help of Aviation Electrician's Mate 3rd Class Jerell Purdie at the Light Industrial Facility (LIFAC) in Newport News, July 15. Lincoln is currently undergoing a Refueling and Complex Overhaul at Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries.
