Staff Sgt. Veronica Cazares of A Company, 3rd Battalion, 354th Regiment of the 104th Training Division (LT) directs the cadets of the 6th Regiment, Cadet Initial Entry Training (CIET) to remove their M40 Field Protective Masks and, one-by-one, recite their names while inside the Chemical, Biological, Nuclear and Radiological (CBRN) building at the CBRN Defense Mask Confidence Course on Monday, July 13 at Fort Knox, Ky. By removing their masks, the cadets experience the effects of CS gas, also known as tear gas. Consisting of four hours of classroom training and four hours of practical application, the course is designed to instill cadets with confidence in both their training and their equipment.
