U.S. Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Daniel Silva treats Lance Cpl. Michael Kelley for notional wounds he suffered in an ambush during patrol training in Fog Bay, Australia, July 12, 2015. The Marines with Echo Company, Battalion Landing Team 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, conducted the training as part of Talisman Sabre 2015. Talisman Sabre is a biennial exercise designed to improve the interoperability between Australian and U.S. forces. The 31st MEU is taking part in the exercise while deployed on its regularly scheduled Fall Patrol of the Asia-Pacific region. Silva, a native of Poway, California, is a hospital corpsman with Echo Co., BLT 2/5, 31st MEU. Kelley, a native of Walkersville, Maryland, is a team leader with Echo Co., BLT 2/5, 31st MEU.
