(March 17, 2015) NC1(SW/AW) Marc Barney, Command Career Counselor, raises the pennant recognizing Naval Weapons Station Yorktown (WPNSTA Yorktown) as a recipient of the FY2015 Retention Excellence Award, March 15. The annual award recognizes superior accomplishment in executing programs and policies that best enable our Sailors to succeed in their Navy careers. WPNSTA Yorktown completed 24 re-enlistments in 2014, exceeding the benchmarks required for the Retention Excellence Award. Additionally, WPNSTA Yorktown passed the annual Command Information Program Review and had no "failed to submit" incidences in the Career Navigation System for assigned UICs. (Photo by Mark Piggott)
