Lance Cpl. Shawn Mikicic, an expeditionary airfield Marine with Marine Wing Support Squadron 271's Sahl Sinjar Detachment, assists in loading an M31 Arresting Gear aboard Sahl Sinjar Airfield, Iraq, Sept 3. The M31 Arresting Gear was used to quickly decelerate F/A-18 Hornets landing aboard Sahl Sinjar and was one of the largest pieces of equipment MWSS-271 Marines had to ship to Al Asad Air Base, Iraq, during the drawdown.
