Secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Robert McDonald talks to service members, veterans and military spouses about the career opportunities available outside of the military during the Hawaii Transition Summit July 9, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. The event was held from July 7 to 9 at both Schofield Barracks and Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. The summit offered service members and their spouses an opportunity to participate in workshops, training and facilitated discussions focused on improving competitive employment for those transitioning out of the military.
