Rooks is part of a Marine mobile air team comprised of a commuication technician, a generator mechanic, a heavy equpiment operator, and several air traffic controllers. The mission of this team is to establish landing zones, enable aircraft to land and depart safely. With more landing zones being constructed in the area, the brigade possesses the ability to fly in supplies to units, instead of drving supplies across roads laden with improvised explosive devices.
