Cory Jeffers from Steele, Ill., assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) attaches a strap to his M4 during weapons issue and accountability on board the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48) during a practice run for Talisman Saber. Ashland is participating in Talisman Sabre 2015, Talisman Sabre is a bilateral exercise intended to train Australian and U.S. forces in planning and conducting combined task force operations.
