Major Andrew Gourgoumis, outgoing commanding officer of Recruiting Station Portsmouth, New Hampshire, receives an award from Col. James Iulo, commanding officer of 1st Marine Corps District, following his passing of command during the change of command ceremony, June 26. Major Stephen Boada, the new commanding officer, is coming from his position as inspector-instructor of Battery P., 5th Battalion, 14th Marines in Spokane, Washington, and Gourgoumis is heading to the Command and Staff College aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia.
