Camp Triumph, an annual event for school-aged children, is hosted in order to facilitate an opportunity to develop a variety of skills to aid them in resisting the temptation of drug use as a life choice. The four-day camp allows the youth to work in small groups, interact with adults, and engage in numerous classroom and physical adventure-based activities. The camp falls under Project Safe Neighborhoods Coalition and is supported by numerous agencies to include the New Mexico National Guard, New Mexico State Police, Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office, U.S. Marshals, Isleta Pueblo Police Department, Navajo Nation Police and the Department Of Justice. Youth ages 10-14 from Isleta Pueblo spent the week of June 23-26 honing their skills in positive decision making, future planning, overcoming fears and personal growth.
