Alanna Abeita, a student participating in Camp Triumph 2015, tackles her fear of heights with the assistance of Sgt. 1st Wilbert Romero. Camp Triumph is an annual event for school-aged children and is hosted in order to facilitate an opportunity to develop a variety of skills to aid them in resisting the temptation of drug use as a life choice. The four-day camp allows the youth to work in small groups, interact with adults, and engage in numerous classroom and physical adventure-based activities. Youth ages 10-14 from Isleta Pueblo spent the week of June 23-26 honing their skills in positive decision making, future planning, overcoming fears and personal growth.
