Brig. Gen. Jonathan McColumn,(rear) commanding general of the 103rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) discusses his Soldiers recent successful long haul multi-national, multi-echelon transportation mission with Sgt. Maj. Arthur J. Leak, command sergeant major, 103rd ESC and Lt. Col. Daniel K. Lamb, chief of plans and future operations officer, 103rd ESC, at the U.S./Canada border crossing during a visit June 27. McColumn visited the area to observe, validate and discuss the training that his Soldiers have undergone over the past three months as they transported more than $72.5 million of Canadian Army vehicles and equipment across Canada from Canadian Forces Base Valcartier, Quebec to CFB Wainwright, Alberta. The transportation exercise was a small but valuable portion of exercise Nationwide Move 15, which is an annual Army Reserve approved functional training exercise designed to provide Reserve Component transportation units with valuable, realistic training by conducting real-world operations in support of Continental United States activities.
