Coast Guard rescues 65-year-old woman from sailboat during Chicago to Mackinac Solo Challenge [Image 1 of 2]
A 35-foot sailing vessel is aground near Round Island in the Straits of Mackinac while a crew from Coast Guard Station St. Ignace and a commercial salvage crew attempt to maneuver in close, June 23, 2015. Due to the sea state and shallow water, a Coast Guard aircrew from Air Station Traverse City was needed to rescue a 65-year-old woman from the vessel.
